As a Dutch native who was "born on a bike," Gerald Verstraten already knew the joys of two-wheeled travel. But his new PVY Z20 PRO EVO—his very first e-bike in just three weeks of ownership—has elevated that experience to a whole new level of freedom. "I got way more mobile than before," he says, using it for commuting, errands, and recreation while effortlessly combining it with train travel. When his train once broke down after work, Gerald didn't wait—he chose to bike the hour-long journey home, arriving faster than if he'd waited for the train and enjoying a great workout in the process.

I got way more mobile than before. It’s so easy driving long distances or take it on the train with me.

How long have you been riding and is this your first ebike?

Been riding it for 3 weeks now and yes my very first ebike.

What was your motivation or rationale to get an ebike and what were the most important factors in your consideration or selection process?

I needed it for work. Must important factors we’re price, quality and reviews. PVY checked all the boxes.

Have you ever met up to ride with other PVY owners?

No you don’t see them a lot in the Netherlands .

What are your thoughts about the role of cycling and ebikes in a more sustainable future?

Well coming from the Netherlands were we our born on a bike, we love it here so much, bike a lot and have amazing infrastructure for it. Biking will be always the most sustainable.

What has been your greatest or most memorable adventure with your PVY?

My train wasn’t running from work. I could wait, but it was my first time I had a choice so decided to bike home, which took me 1 hour (still faster than waiting on the train to run again) and it was a great workout. So easy to bike long distances.
